What are you using WordPress for?
The next thing to do is to work out what the aim of your blog is. If you have images to show off, these need to be apparent immediately, preferably on the first page. You should never make people work to find things on your blog! It should be clearly laid out and categorised. If you want to include lengthy articles on your WordPress, you’ll need to choose a theme that supports large amounts of text.

If you find a WordPress site you like the look of, it’s okay to mimic what others do, as long as you keep the content original and unique. Don’t copy other people’s posts, whatever yo do! Find a few blogs that you like and perhaps take some features from each.
